Meagan Leotta (Director)

Meagan Leotta is Terry’s eldest daughter and has worked in the Bookkeeping & Accounting Industry for 18 years.  After beginning her working life in an Admin role she soon became a part of the family business and commenced her Bookkeeping endeavors.  After initiating her studies to be an accountant her career saw a change into the accounting world where she worked for 5 years for a local Accounting Firm while studying externally with USQ.  This saw her complete a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting.

With the growth of Megadan Consulting, she made the move back to the family business with the long-term goal of developing and broadening the services they provide to their clients.  Meagan has since become the Director of Megadan Consulting and is based in Stanthorpe.  She is looking to diversify the team’s attributes in the local and surrounding areas while building long and lasting relationships.

Our Team

Terry Leotta ( Our Retired Founder)

Terry Leotta started his career in the Banking industry after leaving school in 1979.

Commencing as a junior teller and “climbing the ladder” to eventually become part of the lending team. Transfers within the Bank, saw him leave his home town of Stanthorpe and eventually reside at his current location, Toowoomba. Experience gained within the Finance Industry, made the transition into the next stage of his working life a seaming less task.

Taking up the role of Business Manager/Accountant at a local earthmoving company, Terry was able to apply his knowledge gained to help grow the business.

During 1985 saw a move from Private Accounting into Public Accounting. It was here that allowed him to see the transformation of business records into the world of Income Tax and compliance. For a period of some seven years, Terry looked after a portfolio of clients attending to their Taxation affairs. Computerization of accounting records began to “take hold” seeing a major need for software implementation and training.

Megadan Consulting was established to cater for this growing market. With the introduction of GST in July 2000, Terry upgraded his skills and commenced training small to medium business owners on the processes of recording and reporting their obligations to the Taxation Office.

In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife Therese, Quadbike Riding, Caravaning and catching up with friends and family.

Terry has recently settled nicely into retirement phase and has relocated to the Burrum Heads Region.

Sue Goodwin (Bookkeeper)

Sue Goodwin spent her early years on a sheep property in south west Queensland. Sue attended a Sydney boarding school for 7 years, obtaining her Higher School Certificate, then the University of New England in Armidale for 4 years and received a Bachelor of Science.  After University Sue returned to Sydney and worked in the Bank of New South Wales/Westpac for 6 ½ years in branches, and head office in the Treasury division.

The next 16 years Sue spent helping her family and then my husband’s family on sheep properties in south western Queensland. Sues’ move to Toowoomba in 2000 instigated a new career path including Heritage Building Society, One For All Contractors and then for the bookkeeping company “Abacus” which I eventually bought and ran for several years.

Emmy attained the role of customer service coordinator after a short time and worked for the company until she moved back to Stanthorpe in 2012 with her new family.

Since moving back to Stanthorpe, Emmy has worked in different admin roles while completing a Diploma in Business Administration and Accounting.
